A new 11-article bill prepared by AK Party deputies regarding working life and energy fields is being submitted to the Presidency of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). With the proposal, the collection of unpaid General Health Insurance (GSS) premium debts pertaining to dates before January 1, 2017 will be waived.

Prepared under the leadership of AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler and planned to be submitted to the TBMM Presidency in the coming days, the 11-article bill includes various regulations in line with the annulment decisions of the Constitutional Court. Within the scope of the bill, the duration of the additional employment incentive applied for women, youth, and the unemployed with vocational training will be extended until December 31, 2027; the President will be authorized to extend this period until December 31, 2028.

With the regulation, the collection of all unpaid general health insurance (GSS) premiums belonging to dates before January 1, 2017, as well as ancillary receivables such as delay penalties and hikes tied to them, will be waived. Additionally, in the energy field, within the framework of security of supply principles, floating LNG facilities will be allowed to serve outside the locations specified in their licenses, subject to permission by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) upon taking the opinion of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.
