Bill Proposing Amendments to Six Health Laws Submitted to the National Assembly

On the morning of October 21, 2026, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan presented the draft law amending the laws on Children, Persons with Disabilities, Medical Examination and Treatment, Pharmacy, the Elderly, and Health Insurance at the National Assembly.

The amendments to the 6 draft health laws aim to improve the legal system, reduce and simplify administrative procedures as well as investment and business conditions, and ensure the consistency of the legal system. The 16th National Assembly listened to the presentation of these bills under the chairmanship of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

Authorized by the Prime Minister and presented by Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan, the draft law focuses on four main issues: simplifying administrative procedures, reducing investment and business conditions, strengthening the management of medical equipment and drugs, and ensuring alignment with the two-tier local government system.
