Billion-Lira Support for Agriculture and Livestock from Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality
Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality continues to stand by producers with investments made in agriculture and livestock over the past seven years.
Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality has increased its investments to over 1.2 billion TL in the last 7 years to boost production in the agriculture and livestock sector and strengthen rural development.
Giant Investments for Rural Development
Through works covering rural neighborhoods across Kayseri, the aim is to reduce farmers' production costs, increase agricultural productivity, and develop livestock farming.
With projects implemented over the past seven years under the leadership of Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, the total support provided to producers has exceeded 1 billion 200 million TL.
Completed Projects in Irrigation Infrastructure
Open and closed irrigation systems have been implemented in different regions of the city to increase productivity in agricultural production and ensure the efficient use of water resources.
Three closed-system irrigation projects completed in the Özvatan, Pınarbaşı, and Kocasinan districts with a total investment of 8 million 841 thousand 610 TL have been put into service for producers.
Livestock and Beekeeping Activities
In addition to agricultural production, the Metropolitan Municipality continues to contribute to producers by launching various projects in the fields of livestock and beekeeping.
While seed and fertilizer support is provided to farmers, beehive distributions have been carried out for producers engaged in water buffalo breeding, sheep farming, and beekeeping.
