BIST 100 Index Ended Tuesday on the Rise
While the BIST 100 index on Borsa İstanbul completed the day with a gain in value, Turkey's current account balance data for August was announced.
The BIST 100 index on Borsa İstanbul completed Tuesday with a 0.82% increase at 12,250.68 points, while Turkey's current account balance recorded a surplus of $4 billion 53 million in August.

The BIST 100 index on Borsa İstanbul completed Tuesday with a 0.82% increase at 12,250.68 points. Registering an increase of 100 points compared to the previous close, the total trading volume in the index reached 92.9 billion liras.
Daily Performance of Sectors
While the banking index ended the day with a 1.22% increase, the holding index lost 0.23% in value. Among the sectors, the trade index showed the strongest performance with a 2.37% increase.
Current Account Balance Data
Turkey's current account balance posted a surplus of $4 billion 53 million in August. In the current account balance excluding gold and energy, a surplus of $8 billion 205 million was formed in the same period.
Followed Levels in Markets
Analysts stated that the 12,400 and 12,500 point levels act as resistance in the BIST 100 index, and the 12,200 and 12,100 point levels are being monitored as support in case of potential pullbacks.
