BIST 100 index falls by 2.89 percent on the final trading day of the week on Borsa Istanbul
While all sector indices experienced declines on the final trading day of the week, the total trading volume reached 116.2 billion liras.
On Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index lost 2.89 percent of its value under the influence of selling pressure on the final trading day of the week, completing the day at 11,721.72 points.

The BIST 100 index decreased by 348.4 points compared to the previous close, closing the day at 11,721.72 points. Following the 2.89 percent loss in value on a daily basis, the total trading volume in the market reached 116.2 billion liras.
Losses in Sector Indices
While all sector indices traded in the market finished the day with declines, the banking index lost 1.87 percent and the holding index lost 2.46 percent in value. The sharpest decline was observed in the financial leasing and factoring sector with 5.72 percent.
Developments on Investors' Agenda
Investors are monitoring macroeconomic data coming from the US, activity in the bond market, and the performance of technology stocks. Additionally, domestically, the CBRT's interest rate decision to be announced next week and S&P's evaluation of Turkey are awaited.
Capital Markets and Legal Regulations
Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek announced that they are working on new legal regulations that will strengthen the fight against crimes in capital markets. Şimşek stated that they plan to complete these regulations by the beginning of 2027.
