Book Consisting of Stories by 20 Authors Published for Hrant Dink

Prepared in memory of the 20th anniversary of the assassination of Agos founder and editor-in-chief Hrant Dink, the book titled “Özgürlüğü Kanadında: Hrant Dink İçin Öyküler” (On the Wing of Freedom: Stories for Hrant Dink) is being published by İletişim Yayınları and will take its place on the shelves on Saturday, October 31.

According to Agos, the grief felt after the murder of Hrant Dink turned into a shared story for those who knew him and those who did not. The book, to be published by İletişim Yayınları, aims to keep this shared memory alive through literature. In the work prepared for publication by Gaye Boralıoğlu, alongside stories by various authors, there is also an article titled “Hrant’s Story” by Friends of Hrant. The cover illustration of the book was prepared by Kemal Gökhan Gürses.

Realized for the 20th anniversary of Hrant Dink’s assassination in front of the Agos office on January 19, 2007, the project features 20 authors—including imprisoned former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş—who penned special stories in memory of Dink. The work bears the signatures of Karin Karakaşlı, Murathan Mungan, Rıdvan Hatun, Sema Kaygusuz, Sevim Çiçek, Ayfer Tunç, Irmak Zileli, Murat Gülsoy, Melisa Kesmez, Murat Uyurkulak, Selahattin Demirtaş, Behçet Çelik, Kerem Bakıcı, Polat Özlüoğlu, Kâmil Erdem, Fethiye Çetin, Şebnem İşigüzel, Figen Alkaç, Ayşegül Devecioğlu, and Eylem Ata.
