Bursa Ali Osman Sönmez State Hospital has started accepting patients
The 1,315-bed Bursa Ali Osman Sönmez State Hospital has gradually entered service. Patients from Çekirge State Hospital have been transferred to the new center.
The Bursa Ali Osman Sönmez State Hospital, built in Bursa with a capacity of 1,315 beds, began accepting patients gradually as of October 25, 2026.
Bursa Provincial Health Director Specialist Dr. Mustafa Çetin stated that the hospital will be an important center for specialized surgeries and high-quality healthcare services. Following the cessation of operations at the Çekirge State Hospital's current building, patients were transferred to the new center.
According to the first phase plan implemented, all units except for Obstetrics and Gynecology, Cardiovascular Surgery, and Pediatrics have been opened for appointments. It was reported that these three branches are not included in the system in the first phase and that citizens should check the current status via the Central Physician Appointment System (MHRS).
