Michele Teboul, a business owner whose family stores were looted in cities including Paris, Bordeaux, and Lyon, stated that this is President Macron's last chance to ensure security.
Michele Teboul, a business owner whose family-owned stores were looted and destroyed during recent protests in France, criticized President Emmanuel Macron and Interior Minister Laurent Nunez, stating that the upcoming Saturday is the final opportunity to ensure security.
Michele Teboul, who owns retail stores in Paris, Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, and Montpellier, stated that their family businesses were completely destroyed during the events around October 17, 2026. Teboul criticized the authorities for being inadequate in the face of the scale of the violence and failing to provide sufficient police protection.
Teboul, a former leader of the French Jewish umbrella organization CRIF, expressed deep concerns regarding public safety and emphasized that faith in the government's ability to maintain order is diminishing. Distinguishing reactions to the cost of living from criminal looting, the business owner noted that the upcoming Saturday is a critical threshold for the Macron administration to prove that it can protect its citizens.
