The referee crew for the eagerly awaited giant clash between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe in the 9th week of the Trendyol Super League has been finalized. According to the announcement, Spanish referee Carlos Del Cerro Grande will sit in the VAR chair for the derby. Grande will be accompanied by Ferhan Kestanlıoğlu in the AVAR role.
Referee appointments for some other matches to be played on the closing day of the 9th week of the league have also been announced. Erkan Engin will be the VAR referee for the match between Çaykur Rizespor and Trabzonspor, and he will be accompanied by Bilal Gölen in the AVAR. Meanwhile, John Allan Beaton from Scotland will undertake the VAR refereeing duties for the match between Beşiktaş and Başakşehir, with Özer Özden serving as Beaton's AVAR.
