Emphasizing that the tax regulation only lifted the exemption for earnings derived from certain investment funds, Yılmaz stated that they will combat manipulators.

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz announced on his social media account that his speech at a finance summit on December 11, 2025, was cherry-picked and used as material for disinformation. Stating that politics requires honesty and sincerity, Yılmaz criticized such approaches and noted that anyone with a minimum level of attention could understand the essence of his speech. Yılmaz conveyed that a member of parliament also participated in this situation.

In his statement, Yılmaz drew attention to the amendment made in provisional article 67 of the Income Tax Law with article 3 of Law No. 7566, which was adopted on December 4, 2025. He reminded that with the regulation, the income tax exemption for funds whose participation shares can only be sold to qualified investors and are not registered with TEFAS was lifted, thereby subjecting earnings known as "boss funds" to taxation.

Emphasizing the transparency of economic communication, Cevdet Yılmaz stated that regulatory authorities should explain steps in plain language to prevent misunderstandings. Stating that legitimate investors and those acting unlawfully should not be confused with one another, Yılmaz noted that they will resolutely continue to combat abusers and manipulators in order to protect the rights of legitimate investors and capital markets.
