Çiğli Egekent Sports Facility project completed, tender date awaited
Implementation projects for the Egekent Sports Facility, to be established by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality in Çiğli's İzkent Neighborhood, have been completed, and its tender will be held in December.
Within the scope of sports investments across the city, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has completed the implementation projects for the Çiğli Egekent Sports Facility, which will be built in Çiğli's İzkent Neighborhood. The construction tender for the facility is planned to be held in the first week of December.
The facility, to be established on a 2,820-square-meter plot of land, will have a total construction area of 8,400 square meters. The project will feature a semi-Olympic swimming pool with a capacity of 80 spectators, a wading pool for children, an indoor sports hall with a capacity of 120 spectators, as well as various service areas.
Designed with a focus on energy efficiency, solar panels for electricity generation will be installed on the roof of the facility. Through this system, it is aimed to meet a significant portion of the facility's energy needs.
