City Health Department initiates digital transformation move in the healthcare sector

On October 29, the City Health Department launched a training program aimed at improving the knowledge and skills of personnel regarding digital technology, artificial intelligence, and process automation applications in the healthcare sector.

Targeting IT personnel in relevant units, the training program titled "Design and Implementation of AI-Powered Digital Transformation Solutions in the Healthcare Sector, Development of Digital Capacity" was launched by the City Health Department on October 29. Within this scope, personnel from the Thuan Hoa Medical Center digitized patients' medical records, while the two-day training covered topics such as digital transformation philosophy, prompt engineering skills, AI agent workflow architecture, knowledge/RAG, and API integration. Participants experienced hands-on creation of automated processes for document verification, regulation comparison, report analysis, and product presentations.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Hoang Trong Quy, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Health, emphasized that the proper implementation of AI agents will minimize administrative workload and manual operations, thereby saving time and optimizing professional quality. The Ministry of Health management also stated that regulations on personal data protection, information security, and the confidentiality of health data must be strictly complied with, and patient data or confidential documents must not be uploaded to online AI tools without permission and security conditions being met.
