A comprehensive training program covering cancer screenings, women's health, mental health, the fight against narcotics, and privacy was held for women in the Nazilli district of Aydın.

Aimed at increasing the awareness of women in the region on health issues, the program was held in the training hall of the Nazilli District Health Ministry. During the event, Dr. Ece Doğruya, one of the physicians at the District Health Ministry, provided detailed information on breast cancer, general cancer screenings, and women's health, while social worker Ali Çavlu made a presentation on mental health.

The training program continued with various topics through the cooperation of different institutions. District Police Department personnel delivered the "En İyi Narkotik Polisi Anne" (The Best Narcotic Police: Mother) training, while Social Services Center personnel provided privacy training to the participants.

Emphasizing the life-saving role of early diagnosis, national screening standards were recalled at the meeting. Accordingly, it was recommended that women aged 30-65 undergo an HPV-DNA test once every 5 years for cervical cancer, and women in the 40-69 age group have a mammogram once every 2 years. Furthermore, it was stated that men and women between the ages of 50 and 70 can undergo colorectal cancer screening with a fecal occult blood test (FOBT) once every 2 years.

Authorities invited citizens wishing to benefit from these cancer screenings to apply to the Zafer and Cumhuriyet Healthy Life Centers in Nazilli.
