The Presidential Symphony Orchestra, in cooperation with the UN, will give a concert at CSO Ada Ankara on October 23, 2026, conducted by Leo Hussain and featuring violin virtuoso Diana Tishchenko as soloist.
The Presidential Symphony Orchestra (CSO) will meet art lovers with a special concert prepared in cooperation with the United Nations on Friday evening, October 23, 2026, at 20:00 at the CSO Ada Ankara Ziraat Bankası Main Hall.
English conductor Leo Hussain, known for his interpretations on Europe's leading opera and symphonic stages, will direct the concert, while violin virtuoso Diana Tishchenko, who draws attention with her international career, will take the stage as the soloist. Diana Tishchenko, winner of the 2018 Long-Thibaud-Crespin International Competition, will perform Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 5 (K. 219) during the evening. Bearing the rhythmic influences of Ottoman mehter music and also known as the "Turkish Concerto," the piece will be one of the highlights of the concert.
The program, starting with Latvian composer Emīls Dārziņš's Melancholy Waltz, will continue with the performance of Mozart's concerto, followed by "Ayin Raksı" (Op. 57) by Ahmed Adnan Saygun, one of the pioneers of Turkish polyphonic music. The finale of the evening will feature Richard Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier Suite (Op. 59), prominent for its grandiose orchestration. Bringing together different periods, cultures, and musical narratives, this special concert will unite the universal language of classical music with audiences in Ankara.
