The Republican Turkish Party (CTP) announced its roadmap in the field of healthcare, the "Step-by-Step Healthcare Transformation" program, to the public at a meeting held at the Cyprus Turkish Teachers' Trade Union (KTÖS). CTP Leader Sıla Usar İncirli stated that in the new period, they will manage the healthcare system with a comprehensive approach that considers the needs of both employees and patients.
At the event held at the Cyprus Turkish Teachers' Trade Union, the goals, priorities, and solution proposals of the program, prepared on the basis of common sense and participation, were discussed. The meeting, which started with the opening speech of CTP Leader Sıla Usar İncirli, was attended by deputies, candidates, non-governmental organizations organized in the healthcare field, association representatives, doctors, nurses, and patient rights associations. Filiz Besim and Osman Erçal from the CTP Health Committee gave presentations at the event.
Within the scope of the program, seven main targets were listed: general health insurance and full-day healthcare, secure hospitals and strong health centers, preventive health and early diagnosis, patient and elderly rights, safe and easy access to medicine, 112 emergency health services, and a single system, common standards, and effective inspection. İncirli noted that they aim to reduce out-of-pocket expenses for patients and direct public resources toward public and production-oriented services.
