The Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) has made it mandatory to submit a "Cyber Security Plan" for all projects to be designed and manufactured. In the new era announced at the 19th International Information Security and Cryptology Conference, contractor firms will be required to report all measures from the design phase to logistics.

The 19th International Information Security and Cryptology Conference, organized in cooperation with the Presidency's Cyber Security Directorate and the Information Security Association, convened with the theme "Cyber Wars in the New World Order." During the Platform Cyber Security session held within the scope of the event, industry representatives discussed strategic measures.

ASELSAN Deputy General Manager Taha Yücel emphasized that cyber warfare begins before a bullet is fired and drew attention to four basic principles in platform security. Murat Çizgel, Head of the SSB Cyber Security and Information Systems Department, announced that submitting a Cyber Security Plan has been made mandatory for all projects to be designed and manufactured by the institution. Çizgel noted that contractors will present the measures they will take from the design process to logistics, and even the smallest firms will be included in the Cyber Hygiene program.

HAVELSAN Cyber Security Director Salih Talay also stated that a small component in the supply chain can render large platforms dysfunctional, emphasizing that domestic and national cyber security standards must be established.
