Disability reports of bedridden patients are renewed at home in Konya
The Konya Provincial Health Directorate renews the health board reports of bedridden patients who cannot leave their homes via remote connection at their residences.
Teams from the Konya Provincial Health Directorate are bringing the Beyhekim Training and Research Hospital Health Board to the homes of patients who need to renew their disability reports but are bedridden and unable to leave their homes, through Home Health Services.
Within the scope of the project implemented by the Konya Provincial Health Directorate, patients or their relatives who need to renew their disability reports apply through the system. On the designated day and hour, a doctor and a nurse working in Home Health Services visit the family at their home.
After the doctor who comes to the house examines the patient and talks with their relatives, they hold video calls with specialists in internal medicine, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, physical therapy and rehabilitation, orthopedics and traumatology, general surgery, mental health and diseases, neurology, and cardiology. Following the examination, the board renews the patient's disability report.
Halil Ekrem Akkurt, Chief Physician of Beyhekim Training and Research Hospital, stated that they integrated the Ministry of Health's remote patient evaluation system with the home health system. Akkurt noted that the system has been implemented for 6 months, after the initial examination at the patient's home, they connect live to the health board, and the report is reflected in the system the next day.
