The allocation of budget and the status of tasks assigned to science, technology, innovation and digital transformation fields in Sơn La province for 2026 were evaluated at a meeting held on October 22, 2026. The meeting was chaired by Đặng Ngọc Hậu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
A total state budget of over 355.4 billion Vietnamese dong has been allocated for science, technology, innovation and digital transformation fields for 2026. Within this scope, development investment expenditures exceeded 82.6 billion dong, while recurrent expenditures surpassed 272.7 billion dong. As of the reporting period, over 265 billion dong of the total allocations had been disbursed, reaching 74.55% of the total estimate. The disbursed amount for recurrent expenditures exceeded 262.8 billion dong, achieving a rate of 96.35%, whereas this rate remained at 2.66% for development investment expenditures. It was reported that the undistributed fund amount exceeded 90.4 billion dong.
As of October 21, 2026, the total budget expenditure amount was estimated to exceed 60.4 billion dong, corresponding to 22.82% of the disbursed estimate. The fact that the fund disbursement process lagged behind expectations was influenced by the necessity to review and adjust certain tasks in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Science and Technology, as well as the bidding and supplier selection stages in equipment procurement and IT service leasing processes. At the end of the meeting, Đặng Ngọc Hậu stated that relevant departments, branches and units must implement decisive solutions to accelerate the disbursement of science and technology funds.
