Double Victory for Toroslar Municipality Sports Club
The women's handball and volleyball teams of Mersin Toroslar Municipality Sports Club emerged victorious from their matches over the weekend. The handball team won their first league match by a large margin, while the volleyball team rose to the top of their group.
In Mersin, the women's handball and volleyball teams under the Toroslar Municipality Sports Club returned from their weekend matches with victories. The handball team, newly promoted to the Women's Handball 1st League, defeated Sivas Gücü Municipality Sports Club 44-27 in their season opener. The volleyball team, competing in the 13th Group of the Turkish Women's Volleyball 2nd League, defeated Yenişehir Gençlerbirliği Sports Club 3-1, bringing their points to 9 and taking the lead.
Toroslar Mayor Abdurrahman Yıldız, club president Mevlüt Çoban, and municipal council members watched both the handball match and the volleyball game from the stands at the Yalınayak 500-Person Sports Hall. Mayor Yıldız congratulated the technical staff and athletes after the matches.
The Women's Volleyball Team will face Tarsus American College Sports Club at the Mersinli Ahmet Sports Hall on October 24. The Women's Handball Team will be the guest of Osmaniye Arena Sports Club away from home on October 31.
