Driver who shared footage of driving at 187 kilometers per hour in İzmir fined

A driver who spread footage on his social media account of driving a car at 187 kilometers per hour in İzmir was detained and given an administrative fine of 25 thousand liras.

As a result of joint efforts by the Cyber Crimes Department and the İzmir Traffic Branch Directorate teams, the identity and address of 27-year-old S.K., who shared footage on the Instagram platform showing a speed violation, were determined. Captured and detained by the teams, it was determined that the suspect had taken the footage in question from another social media platform and shared it on his own account. The driver, who publicly disseminated this content, which was in violation of rules and encouraging in nature, was issued an administrative fine of 25 thousand liras.
