Economy and politics agenda of Turkey for October 22, 2026

On October 22, 2026, official activities and meetings to be conducted by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, ministries, the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, the Turkish Statistical Institute, and other institutions, as well as developments on the domestic and foreign policy agenda, are being followed.

Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş will hold a one-on-one and inter-delegation meeting with Claude Wiseler, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg, and hold a joint press conference. The Grand National Assembly of Turkey General Assembly will also convene to discuss the issues on its agenda.

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan will attend the Expanded Organization Training Meeting in Antalya, while Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum and Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi will conduct inspections at the COP31 venue. Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin will participate in various promotional programs in Ankara.

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır will attend congress openings and academic year ceremonies in Istanbul and Bursa. The Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey will announce its interest rate decision and release weekly money and banking statistics. The Turkish Statistical Institute will share the consumer confidence index and household domestic tourism data for October, while the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency will publish weekly sector data.
