Emergency Health Services Coordination Commission met in Mersin
The ASKOM, chaired by Mersin Provincial Health Director Specialist Dr. Mustafa Ekici, discussed the efficiency of emergency health services in the city and inter-institutional coordination processes.
The Emergency Health Services Coordination Commission (ASKOM) in Mersin met at Mersin City Hospital under the chairmanship of Provincial Health Director Specialist Dr. Mustafa Ekici.
The meeting was attended by Head of Emergency Health Services Specialist Dr. Sibel Şahin, service heads, deputy heads, and managers of public and private hospitals across the province. During the discussions, the current status of emergency health services was evaluated, and problems encountered in the field along with proposed solutions were addressed.
The agenda items included the responsibilities of hospital emergency departments, the optimization of patient referral and transport processes, and communication mechanisms between institutions. It was emphasized at the meeting that strengthening cooperation between public and private health institutions is of critical importance for maintaining uninterrupted and rapid emergency health services.
