Emphasis on Cellular Therapies from Prof. Dr. Adnan Yüksel

Speaking at a program held within the scope of Turkey Innovation Week, Biruni University Rector Prof. Dr. Adnan Yüksel stated that cellular therapies are opening the door to a new era in the healthcare field.

The program, organized by the Council of Higher Education Science Communication Office at the Haliç Congress Center, was moderated by YÖK Press Advisor Fatma Çiğdem Savaşçıoğlu. Delivering a speech titled "Biruni's Signature on the Future of Health: Cellular Therapies" at the event, Biruni University Rector Prof. Dr. Adnan Yüksel made statements on bringing scientific research to society, international scientific collaborations, and the future of health technologies.

Emphasizing that universities are not merely educational institutions, but should also be centers that produce science and develop solutions to social problems, Yüksel drew attention to the importance of Turkey achieving a stronger position in global competition. Stating that cellular therapies and gene-based research offer significant opportunities in diseases such as cancer where sufficient results cannot be obtained with traditional methods, Yüksel noted that artificial intelligence will assume a critical role in the healthcare field, but the final decision will always be made by humans.
