Events in France Ahead of Galatasaray's Match Against Lille Raise Security Concerns

As Galatasaray prepares to face Lille away in the 3rd week of the Champions League, protests and street incidents across France have raised question marks regarding the safety of the match.

Galatasaray will face Lille away in the 3rd week of the Champions League. Failing to secure a victory in their first two matches, the yellow-red team is preparing for this contest with the motto of absolute victory. However, protests and thousands of people taking to the streets across France have led to concerns regarding the match's security. The fact that certain groups turned the surroundings into a battlefield during nationwide demonstrations indicates that the environment in which the match will be played carries risks.

On social media, fans expressed that the match should be moved to another country due to the current security environment. While Galatasaray is expected to travel to France on Tuesday, the match will start at 19:45 on Wednesday, October 21. Galatasaray, which has not yet met with points in the group and has a -5 goal difference, will host Fenerbahçe at home in the Super Lig after the Lille match.
