In the 9th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, Galatasaray defeated Fenerbahçe 2-1 at home with goals scored by Osimhen. Following the match, the yellow-red club's social media accounts made various references targeting the rival team and former managers.
Galatasaray's social media account shared an image featuring coach Okan Buruk, making references to Jorge Jesus, İsmail Kartal, and Jose Mourinho with the statements, "Neither does he have a rival, nor is anyone better than him... Okan 'Winner' Buruk!" Additionally, a post saying "The goalscorer of the match is me" was made for Victor Osimhen, along with a celebratory reference aimed at Kerem Aktürkoğlu.
On the club's English account, harsh posts containing the statements "You are doomed to lose" and "The biggest whiny losers in history" were published, claiming that they had no intention of playing football and that the exact same result is encountered every year at Ali Sami Yen.
