Goldman Sachs: Japanese Yen Strengthens Against AI Shocks
According to Goldman Sachs strategists, the Japanese yen is becoming a more effective hedge against potential AI-driven market shocks due to a changing policy backdrop.
Goldman Sachs reported that changes in Japan's policy landscape have reduced the risk of the currency weakening sharply when global bond yields rise, providing a new hedge against AI-focused market shocks.
In a report dated October 23, Goldman Sachs strategists, including Kamakshya Trivedi, stated that although the global environment generally points to further potential weakness in the Japanese yen, the yen stands out as a more attractive hedge for proactive portfolios compared to recent years.
