Presidency of Defense Industries Head Haluk Görgün, speaking at the 4th Turkish-German Economic Conference held at TOBB Twin Towers, emphasized that transparent and fast licensing procedures will support defense industry cooperation.

The 4th Turkish-German Economic Conference was held at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Twin Towers under the theme of Strategic Partnership in the Changing Defense and Security Architecture.

It was recalled that defense industry cooperation between the two countries gained an official framework with an agreement signed 17 years ago.

It was stated that a deep-rooted culture of working together has been acquired in Leopard main battle tanks, mine hunter vessels, submarines, and A400M programs.
Export Licensing
Attention was drawn to the importance of overcoming difficulties arising from export controls and licensing procedures.

Satisfaction was expressed regarding the continuation of the dialogue, including those conducted by the German Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control.
