The "Engineer Child on the Road" project, launched by HAVELSAN to introduce technology to children, took place at Borsa İstanbul Secondary School in Güneysu, Rize.
The third stop of the “Engineer Child on the Road” project, implemented by HAVELSAN to introduce engineering and technology fields to children, was Borsa İstanbul Secondary School in the Güneysu district of Rize.
During the event held with the participation of HAVELSAN engineers, students had the opportunity to examine the domestic technologies developed by the company up close. Within the scope of the program, children got to know the BAHA sub-cloud unmanned aerial vehicle closely, built a wooden model of the vehicle together with engineers, and learned about its features.
Throughout the event, various workshops such as robotic arms, sundials, and paper rocket making were held to increase students' interest in engineering fields. In addition, basic coding training was provided via tablets through a game inspired by the BARKAN unmanned ground vehicle.
Project Officer Zeynep Şeyma Altundal Karaca stated that after Şanlıurfa and Trabzon, Rize is the third stop of the project, and noted that children showed great interest in BAHA. Güneysu District Governor Eyup Gürdal, Mayor Rıfat Özer, and District Director of National Education Ömer Faruk Külünk also attended the program.
