A cooperation protocol has been implemented between the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services and the Provincial Health Directorate in Mardin to expedite and facilitate access to health services for children and families receiving foster care services.

At the signing ceremony held at the Provincial Health Directorate, the protocol was signed by Provincial Director of Family and Social Services Murat Karaarslan and Provincial Health Director Specialist Dr. Saffet Yavuz. The agreement aims to conduct health evaluations of foster family candidates and existing foster families, accelerate the examination, testing, and treatment processes of the children with them, and carry out services in a coordinated manner.

Speaking at the ceremony, Provincial Director of Family and Social Services Murat Karaarslan stated that their goal is to ensure that families wishing to benefit from the foster care model do not pay fees during the medical board report acquisition process. Conveying that 56 children are benefiting from this service alongside 36 foster families in Mardin, Karaarslan noted that the ministry's primary priority is for a child to grow up alongside their parents, and with this model, they aim for children to grow up in a family environment rather than in institutions. Provincial Health Director Specialist Dr. Saffet Yavuz drew attention to the inter-directorate cooperation and wished that the protocol would be beneficial.
