Heavy rainfall in Bursa's Yenişehir district leaves seasonal workers' tents underwater
Heavy rainfall in the Yenişehir district of Bursa has rendered the tents of seasonal workers unusable. Although the District Governorate and municipal teams prepared a dormitory and a sports hall as shelter for the workers, it was reported that the workers preferred not to relocate to these areas.
Severe rainfall in the Yenişehir district of Bursa has negatively affected the tent areas where seasonal agricultural workers reside. Following the flooding in the region, the Yenişehir District Governorate and Yenişehir Municipality teams activated an emergency plan to provide safer accommodation for the workers.
Local authorities allocated a student dormitory affiliated with the District Directorate of National Education and an indoor sports hall belonging to the Directorate of Youth and Sports for the use of seasonal workers. Despite the completion of preparations, it was stated that the workers in the region did not accept moving to these indoor areas reserved for them. Officials are continuing their efforts in the region to resolve the workers' housing problem.
