Heritage Recorded with the Bursa Foundation Works Inventory Project
Thanks to Vakıf Katılım's project, hundreds of historical buildings in Bursa were documented with detailed photographs, turned into a book, and exhibited.
As a result of the Foundation Works Inventory Project carried out by Vakıf Katılım to keep the traces of foundation culture alive, foundation works with a deep-rooted history in Bursa were compiled into a comprehensive book.
Scope and Details of the Project
The Foundation Works Inventory Project, implemented by Vakıf Katılım to record the traces of foundation culture and pass them on to future generations, has been completed.
Within the scope of this important study, 385 foundation works located throughout the city of Bursa were meticulously examined and recorded with a total of 34,952 photographs.
Heritage Transferred to Future Generations
Vakıf Katılım General Manager Mehmet Ali Akben emphasized in his evaluation of the project that foundation works are valuable witnesses carrying the memory of cities to the present day.
Akben stated that the works in Bursa were systematically documented with their historical contexts, architectural qualities, and current conditions, and that the study was also supported by an exhibition.
