Historical Artifact Operation at İpsala and Kapıkule

In two separate operations organized at the İpsala and Kapıkule customs gates within the scope of risk analysis and inspections by Customs Enforcement teams, a large number of cultural assets sought to be smuggled abroad were intercepted.

Two separate operations were carried out at the İpsala and Kapıkule customs gates within the framework of risk analysis and inspections by Customs Enforcement teams. During the searches in İpsala, coins, arrowhead items, rings, and various accessories concealed in a food and supply cabinet were found. During controls at the Kapıkule Customs Gate, coins that were not declared to customs and were evaluated as having the nature of historical artifacts were seized in a truck directed to X-ray scanning.
