Historical Mansion in Aksaray Brought to Culture and Art Life

The Aksaray Municipality has completed the structural works in the restoration of the two-story historical mansion, which was facing the danger of collapse in Çerdiğin Neighborhood. While transitioning to the wooden and fine workmanship phase of the building, which was renewed while preserving its original architectural texture, it is aimed to serve as the Aksaray Culture Mansion, hosting exhibitions, talks, and cultural events once completed.

In the restoration works carried out by the Aksaray Municipality in Çerdiğin Neighborhood, the structural and load-bearing system works for the historical mansion, which had worn out over many years and faced the danger of collapse, have been completed. In the two-story building, where priority was given to preserving its original architectural character, wooden applications and fine workmanship studies covering door and window joinery and other details are ongoing.

Aksaray Mayor Evren Dinçer stated that the protection of historical buildings is of importance in terms of maintaining the city's connection with its past and transferring cultural values to future generations. Stating that the building, which will be named Aksaray Culture Mansion after the completion of the restoration, will host exhibitions, talks, cultural meetings, and various events, Dinçer noted that the mansion will contribute to the social and cultural life of the city.
