HONOR Robot Phone Named Among TIME's Best Inventions of 2026
Drawing attention with its integrated mechanical gimbal and artificial intelligence features, the HONOR Robot Phone has been selected by TIME magazine as one of the best inventions of 2026.
Introduced by HONOR in August and combining a mechanical gimbal system with artificial intelligence, the Robot Phone model has been included in TIME magazine's list of the best inventions of 2026.
The HONOR Robot Phone can keep moving subjects in frame with its mechanical gimbal system that opens from the back and rotates 360 degrees. Equipped with ARRI cinematic imaging technologies and AI-powered software, the device offers hands-free shooting by tracking the user in selfie mode or during movement. When not in use, the mechanism folds down to align with the camera panel.
The four-degree-of-freedom mechanical system consists of over 100 precision components developed through 60 manufacturing processes. HONOR AI Product Expert Thomas Bai stated that they developed a custom micro-motor during this process. AI-powered subject tracking and sound source localization features provide users with automatic tracking and hands-free motion control during vlogs and live broadcasts.
