How Houthis Found An Unlikely Weapon Against Saudis In Epstein Files

The Houthi militia in Yemen is conducting a comprehensive propaganda campaign on social media alongside military operations against Saudi Arabia. The group accuses the Saudi administration of corruption and claims it is unfit to be the custodian of Islam's holy sites by highlighting allegations that circles within the Saudi royal court sent Kaaba covers to Jeffrey Epstein's private island.

The Houthis, who control the majority of Yemen's population, have made allegations connected to Jeffrey Epstein one of the main propaganda elements in their strategy targeting Saudi Arabia. According to reports by the New York Times, the group fighting against the internationally recognized Yemeni government supported by Saudi Arabia closely monitors its enemies' internal affairs and uses this information to gain public support. Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi claimed that the Epstein files reveal a Zionist incubator that educates leaders, while another Houthi leader, Mahdi al-Mashat, argued that those who gave the Kaaba cover to Epstein are targeting Mecca.

Experts note that the Houthis' communication network has evolved in recent years into an organized media system encompassing radio, television, email campaigns, and social media accounts. Mohammed al-Basha, a Yemen expert and founder of the Basha Report, stated that groups within the Iran-backed "axis of resistance" view Epstein as a symbol of US and Israeli corruption. Meanwhile, the Saudi-backed Yemeni government struggles to establish a unified media strategy due to differing ideological and military factions within the Presidential Leadership Council.
