IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva stated that high inflation and rising interest rates are compounding countries' debt burdens, and called on central banks to prioritize price stability.

Stating that the global economy faces risks such as artificial intelligence, high indebtedness, inflation, and climate change, IMF President Georgieva emphasized that countries need to increase their economic resilience.

Georgieva expressed that financial authorities should closely monitor risks that may stem from non-bank institutions, as well as cyberattack and fraud cases. Expressing that artificial intelligence offers significant opportunities in terms of economic growth, Georgieva urged that precautions be taken to protect individuals and companies against potential risks that the technology may bring.
