The new legislative proposal prepared for investment funds in the liquidation process stipulates prioritizing small investors with a balance under one million liras, while clearly stating that no public funds will be used throughout the process.

Small Investors Will Be Prioritized

With the legislative proposal, issues such as the calculation of net investment amounts and the order of liquidation payments have been clarified. In this context, it is aimed to prioritize small investors with an investment balance of under one million liras in payments.

It is foreseen that balances exceeding one million liras will be met with interim payments during the liquidation process. The timing of these payments will proceed according to the financial condition and collection processes of the funds.

Public Funds Will Not Be Used in the Liquidation Process

One of the most important headings in the regulation is that public funds will not be used in any way during the liquidation process. It is planned that the process will be carried out entirely through the funds' own internal dynamics and collections.

Separate Accounts Will Be Created for Each Fund

Within the framework of the proposal, separate accounts will be opened for each fund. Refunds to be made from persons evaluated as having obtained unfair gains will be deposited directly into the relevant fund's own account instead of being transferred to a common pool.

Conditions for Payments to Take Place

Citizens with a balance of under one million liras will be able to collect their liquidation amounts in a shorter time. Payments to other investors will depend on the performance of fund assets, collections, and asset sale revenues.
