Iran's Statement on Nuclear Activities and the Strait of Hormuz to the US
IRGC Spokesperson Mohebbi emphasized that US heavy bombs cannot halt nuclear activities and highlighted the importance of the Strait of Hormuz.
Hossein Mohebbi, spokesperson for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, stated that the use of the heavy bomb known as the "mother of all bombs" by the US would not stop Iran's nuclear industry activities nor force the country to surrender.
In statements made to the Iran-based Student News Agency, IRGC spokesperson Hossein Mohebbi evaluated potential new attacks by the US and Israel. Mohebbi argued that the US using the heavy bomb known as the "mother of all bombs" would not force Iran to surrender, would not ensure the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, would not stop nuclear industry activities, and would not prevent the country from achieving its goal of extending its missile range.
Stating that a potential new war would put pressure on the world economy, Mohebbi expressed that the continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz affects global economic activities. He noted that 5 million tons of chemical fertilizer are exported daily from the Persian Gulf, 10 percent of the world's aluminum is transported through this strait, and a significant portion of the materials used in chip production are exported from Saudi Arabia.
