Famous actress Christina Applegate announced that her condition, which she had known for years as multiple sclerosis (MS), was actually based on a misdiagnosis. The Emmy-winning actress, who continues to struggle with severe mobility restrictions and pain, stated that she will consult a rheumatologist for a new diagnosis.

Famous actress Christina Applegate shared a striking truth about her health condition on the podcast titled "MeSsy," which she co-hosts with Jamie-Lynn Sigler. Explaining that she had been struggling with MS, a chronic autoimmune disease, for five years, Applegate stated that doctors told her she was not actually an MS patient.

Applegate stated that her doctor walked into the office and said, "Congratulations, you don't have MS," but this news did not make her happy. Stating that the symptoms reducing her quality of life continue, the actress said, "I haven't recovered, in fact I've gotten worse; right now I don't know what I'm experiencing, what is wrong with me."

Stating that she needs ten minutes to get out of bed and that she keeps a walker right next to her bed because she cannot walk to the bathroom, the 54-year-old actress announced that as a next step she will see a rheumatologist specializing in joint, muscle, and bone diseases. Applegate also emphasized that even though she is not an MS patient, she will continue to fight for this community.
