Kasım concern in Beşiktaş after Trabzonspor defeat

Beşiktaş, which suffered its 3rd defeat against Trabzonspor in the first 8 weeks of the Trendyol Süper Lig, has raised concerns that the points lost in November in past seasons will repeat. The black-and-whites, managed by Vincenzo Italiano, are in 5th place, 4 points behind leader Galatasaray, and do not want to suffer any losses until the derby at the end of November.

Beşiktaş suffered its third away defeat of the season, losing 2-0 to Trabzonspor at Papara Park in the 8th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig. Falling to 5th place, 4 points behind leader Galatasaray, the black-and-whites fear repeating the points they lost around the 9th, 10th, and 11th weeks in previous seasons this November. In the past, during the 2024-2025 season, the Eagles had similarly declined after a successful start in the early weeks and had dropped out of the title race early.

Drawing a successful graphic in home matches and remaining undefeated in front of its fans, Beşiktaş could not achieve the same consistency away from home. Leaving the Alanyaspor, Amedspor, and Trabzonspor away matches empty-handed, the black-and-white team's only away victory was a 2-1 score against Fenerbahçe. Entering a busy match schedule, Beşiktaş will face a critical match against Başakşehir in the league right after their UEFA Europa League test against Crystal Palace.

The black-and-whites will face Başakşehir, Kasımpaşa, Gençlerbirliği, and Konyaspor in the period leading up to the Galatasaray derby to be played at Tüpraş Stadium on November 30, 2026. Beşiktaş management and technical staff aim to collect 12 points from this period and close November without any losses.
