Kaspersky Releases Guide on AI-Powered CV Preparation and Security
Kaspersky's research in Turkey revealed that 16 percent of participants use artificial intelligence when preparing a CV. Drawing attention to security and privacy principles, the company published a guide on creating resumes with AI.
In a survey conducted in Turkey, Kaspersky stated that approximately 40 percent of participants utilize artificial intelligence for work-related tasks, while 16 percent use these tools to prepare resumes. The company shared practical ways for job seekers to enhance their CVs with AI without compromising security and originality.
According to research data, while the use of artificial intelligence in work-related tasks is becoming widespread, the rate of those utilizing these tools to prepare resumes stands at 16 percent. Noting that the conveniences offered by artificial intelligence as well as its role in recruitment processes are being debated, Kaspersky offered various recommendations so that job seekers can safely turn this technology to their advantage.
According to the guide, before uploading a resume to a chatbot, personal information such as name, phone number, home address, email, workplaces, and company names must be removed from the text. The ability of large language models to use user data for model training carries the risk of personal information being unintentionally disclosed to other users. Therefore, it is important to check settings before using a chatbot, disable the option that allows the AI to learn from prompts, and verify the platform's privacy policy.
It is stated that many companies use applicant tracking systems (ATS) to classify candidate applications and that these systems integrate artificial intelligence tools into their structures. It is emphasized that even if they pass the initial AI screening, resumes are ultimately reviewed by an HR specialist, and a mechanical tone can damage the impression. Accordingly, it is recommended to draft the document personally and position artificial intelligence as an editor that smooths out phrasing. At the final stage, compliance with confidentiality agreements, consistent section ordering, and preference for DOCX or PDF formats stand out as critical points.
