Mercedes team's 20-year-old Italian driver Kimi Antonelli won the US Grand Prix held in Austin, Texas, by leading from start to finish. With this result, the young driver secured his ninth victory of the season and moved 123 points ahead of his closest rival in the championship race.

Starting from pole position in the race held in Texas, Kimi Antonelli saw the checkered flag first to maintain his position at the top. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc finished the race in second place, while Red Bull's Max Verstappen finished third. Senator Ted Cruz presented the award to Antonelli at the podium ceremony.

Having gained a significant advantage with five races remaining, Antonelli has the chance to secure the 2026 Formula 1 world championship at the upcoming Mexico City Grand Prix. If the young driver wins this title, he will become the first Italian to win the championship since Alberto Ascari in 1953 and will break Sebastian Vettel's 2010 record to become the youngest champion in Formula 1 history.
