Lionel Messi Welcomed in Oviedo Where He Traveled for the Princess of Asturias Sports Award

Argentine footballer Lionel Messi, who plays for Inter Miami, arrived in the Spanish city of Oviedo to receive the Princess of Asturias Sports Award and was enthusiastically greeted by a large crowd in front of the hotel where he will stay.

According to Marca, Messi traveled from Miami on a private flight and headed directly to the hotel. Dozens of fans and supporters gathered outside the hotel, waiting throughout the morning to catch a glimpse of the star player ahead of the award ceremony. Emerging in front of the hotel dressed in black alongside his wife Antonela, Messi greeted members of the Reconquista team.

His visit program includes events at the Palacio de Deportes, an official dinner with the King and Queen of Spain, and the official award ceremony at the Campoamor Theater. The Reconquista Hotel is among the iconic venues of this organization, along with the Campoamor Theater where the award distribution ceremonies take place.
