Organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Kütahya Governorate, and the Biz Ebru Association, the Kütahya Living Heritage Festival began with an enthusiastic cortege walk attended by approximately 150 intangible cultural heritage bearers and artisans from different provinces of Turkey.

Enthusiasm Starting with the Cortege Walk

Protocol members and artisans who gathered in front of the Laleli Mosque reached Zafer Square with a cortege walk accompanied by tile-patterned TOGG vehicles.

Throughout the walk, citizens showed intense interest in the events, and the opening ceremony created great excitement in the city.

Protocol Speeches and Cultural Assets

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Dr. Coşkun Yılmaz emphasized that Kütahya is an ancient civilization and a city of scholars.

Kütahya Governor Musa Işın drew attention to the city's wealth, stating that there are 1,451 registered works in the city by the Monuments Board.

Artists' Works Exhibited in the Museum

Exhibitions by Mehmet Gürsoy in tile art, Menel Hüzmeli in mosaic, Ayşen Avcı Çavdar in marbling, and Mustafa Baştan along with 9 string-art (filography) artists were opened at the Kütahya Old Tile Museum.

Visitors find the opportunity to closely examine these special exhibitions throughout the festival.

Anatolia's Tile Masters Met in Kütahya

Events attended by 50 tile masters from all four corners of Turkey were held at the Tile Makers Bazaar.

In addition, the "100 Artists One Panel" tile painting project was implemented, where the works of 100 separate artists were combined into a single panel.

Traditional Arts and Children's Games

Visitors were offered the opportunity to experience many traditional handcrafts such as ceramics, wooden spoon making, filigree, and leather crafting.

Traditional children's games such as mangala, top-spinning, hopscotch, nine-men's morris, alongside Karagöz and traditional puppet theater (orta oyunu) shows created colorful scenes.

Concerts and Music Feast

Within the scope of the three-day festival, concerts by names such as Uğur Işılak, Şahin Atabay, Salih Yılmaz, and Ekin Uzunlar were planned.

The organized musical events provided participants with unforgettable moments.
