Arıkan’dan ekonomi yönetimine sert tepki: “Yolsuzluk sebep, MSCI’nin kararı sonuç!”

Saadet Party Chairman Mahmut Arıkan criticized the economic management over MSCI's decision to freeze Turkey indices, stating that the country is facing legal and auditing problems.

In a statement made via social media, Saadet Party Chairman Mahmut Arıkan argued that MSCI's decision to freeze Turkey indices demonstrates that structural problems in the country have reached an international dimension. Drawing attention to shady transactions allegedly carried out through funds and the lack of audits, Arıkan stated that authorities are trying to save the appearance of the stock market instead of holding those responsible accountable.

Emphasizing that relations within the financial system must be investigated in all aspects, Arıkan noted that whoever is behind this order must be held accountable before the law. Stating that if the regulations to be made remain limited to superficial steps, economic risks will grow, the Saadet Party leader warned that foreign capital outflow and dollarization could accelerate.
