Malatya 12th Book Fair Will Open Its Doors on October 23

The promotion of the 12th Book Fair, which will meet with book lovers in Malatya between October 23 and November 1, has been carried out. The fair will open its doors this year with the theme "The City Strengthened by Books."

The introductory program for the 12th Book Fair, to be held in Malatya from October 23 to November 1, took place. In his speech at the program, Malatya Governor Seddar Yavuz stated that they came together to promote an important fair that will add value to the city and to invite citizens to the event. Stating that the fair will be held this year under the theme “The City Strengthened by Books,” Yavuz noted that it is now time for culture, art, trade, industry, and technology.

Malatya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Sami Er shared the details of the fair, announcing that book lovers will be hosted in an indoor area of approximately 9,000 square meters. Within the scope of the event, around 300 publishing houses and over 300 authors will meet with readers; 350 book-signing events, 75 conferences, talks, and panels will be organized, and students in 120 schools will also come together with authors.
