MASAK Announces UN Security Council Asset Freeze Decisions on Its Website

The Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) has started to announce the asset freeze decisions taken by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on its website, as part of efforts to prevent the financing of terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

MASAK is intensifying its efforts to announce the UNSC's asset freeze decisions. With the Financial Crimes Investigation Board General Communiqué that entered into force on September 23, it is stipulated that obligated parties must take measures regarding individuals, institutions, and organizations subject to the asset freeze decisions taken by the UNSC concerning the prevention of the financing of terrorism and the financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
