Meta AI Director Rohit Patel Leaves to Rival Microsoft and Google
Rohit Patel, who served eight years at Meta Superintelligence Labs, has left the company to launch his AI-driven startup Ndoc, developed as an alternative to Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Rohit Patel, who spent eight years involved in AI development processes at Meta and served as the director of Superintelligence Labs, has decided to leave Meta with the aim of bringing a fresh perspective to the enterprise software world. Patel launched a new AI-focused startup called Ndoc, which aims to change the fragmented structure of traditional business tools such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Ndoc aims to eliminate the necessity of switching between different tools like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Tableau by uniting the entire workflow into a single platform. The platform offers three main components in a single interface: 'Stage' for presentations, 'Narrative' for analysis and citations, and 'Model' for datasets and Python scripts.
Patel, who focused on reinforcement learning at Meta, stated that his new platform was designed with a principle of transparency, allowing users to verify formulas and code generated by artificial intelligence. Ndoc is currently running an enterprise pilot study and has opened its alpha version to a limited number of users. The beta version is planned to be released in the coming weeks, with a full-scale launch slated for next year.
