MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli emphasized that Turkey and Azerbaijan are an inseparable whole in his message published on the occasion of Azerbaijan's Restoration of Independence Day.
Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli published a congratulatory message for Azerbaijan's "Restoration of Independence Day," drawing attention to the shared destiny and eternal brotherhood of the two countries.
In his message published on the occasion of Azerbaijan's October 18 Restoration of Independence Day, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli stated that with the Constitutional Act on State Independence adopted on October 18, 1991, the country announced its sovereignty and freedom to the entire world. Celebrating the 35th anniversary of this meaningful day, Bahçeli noted that this turning point symbolizes the stance of a noble nation that refuses to accept captivity.
Stating that Azerbaijan gained new strength in its national independence with the Karabakh Victory in 2020, Bahçeli conveyed that the understanding "The flag once raised will never fall" is the essence of the idea of independence. Stating that Turkey and Azerbaijan act with the understanding of "One nation, two states," the MHP leader emphasized that the two countries are one in joy and sorrow.
In his message, Bahçeli included the statements, "Azerbaycan ve Türkiye hangi konuda olursa olsun birbirinden ayrılmaz bir bütündür. Biz aynı soydan bir ananın iki oğluyuz" ("Azerbaijan and Turkey are an inseparable whole no matter the subject. We are two sons of the same mother of the same lineage"), indicating that the same shared stance will be exhibited in the future and there will be no turning back from this.
