Technology giant Microsoft has announced the launch of a voluntary resignation program targeting employees in specific units across four different countries. The company stated that during this process, which covers approximately 60,000 employees, it will provide financial support and career planning resources to those who choose to leave.

According to information communicated to employees by Microsoft's Chief Human Resources Officer, Amy Coleman, the program offers a supported transition opportunity for those planning to continue their careers outside of Microsoft. The company stated that this step will also allow it to reorganize its workforce structure in line with changing business needs.

The program, which is valid for a limited time, covers eligible employees working in specific units in the US, Canada, India, and the UK. Microsoft aims to ease the transition period with resources such as financial support and career counseling to be provided to employees during the departure process.
